Home Energy Efficiency Workshop

Sunday, November 5 –  3:00 PM

This is a free workshop for homeowners to encourage participation in the New York State Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program. This program provides a free or reduced-cost home energy assessment and report, incentives, and low interest rate financing for owners of 1 to 4-family homes. Homeowners can improve the energy efficiency of their homes, save money on utility bills and increase comfort. The home energy assessment is free for most New York homeowners and there is no obligation to install the recommended home energy improvements.

Kathleen Langton of AHP Homeownership Center in Albany will explain how the NYSERDA Home Performance Program works. Attendees will be able to sign up for a home energy assessment after the presentation. These programs have benefits both for homeowners and the community. Energy efficiency and conservation reduce energy consumption and costs, support sustainable community development, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and help create local green jobs.

Bring your questions; stay for refreshments.
