Claverack Free Library Fall Book Sale
Oct 5, 6, 7
A preview reception, with refreshments, will be held on Friday, October 5 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. For the $10 entry fee, buyers have first choice of all books offered at early-bird premium (double) pricing.
The sale runs on Saturday from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. and on Sunday from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. On Saturday, shoppers can enjoy coffee and homemade baked specialties, as well as a lunch of chili, soup, a variety of breads and beverages. Home baked specialties and beverages will be offered throughout the day on Sunday.
Prices on Saturday and Sunday range from $.50 for small paperbacks to $1 for hardcover and larger softcover books. Over-sized, art, travel, and other books of value are priced accordingly. Bargain hunters can return on Sunday and purchase large reusable Claverack Library tote bags for $15 and fill them with books for free (specially priced books excluded).
We are at our capacity for managing books for the sale. If you have books you would like to donate, it would be greatly appreciated if you hold onto them and donate after this book sale for the Spring book sale.
Donations of baked goods are especially needed. Baked goods may be dropped off at the library on Friday, October 5 or Saturday morning, October 6.
Thank you to our sponsors: Crawford & Associates Engineering & Land Surveying at the Silver level, Saturn Industries at the Bronze level, in-kind donation from Cantele Tent Rentals and Kinderhook Bank.
