Every spring our gardens burst with daffodils, tulips, crocuses and irises.
This happens because we plant them in the fall. But there is a way to have them bloom in our homes in the middle of winter. It may sound cruel, but we have to “force” them.
In this workshop, taught by Jack Gantzer, you will learn basic techniques for forcing bulbs and how long it takes for different types of bulbs to bloom. You will leave with a pot of bulbs ready for winter flowering.
Pre-registration is requested so we can buy supplies for the workshop. Email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 518 851 7120 or visit the library.
A donation of $5 to cover the cost of bulbs and pots is suggested.
