New Library Update, How You Can Help, & Grand Opening Invitation!

You Are Invited: Save the Date!

The grand opening of the new Claverack Free Library and community center is set for Saturday, October 26th at Noon.

All are invited for an afternoon of festivities, including ribbon cutting, dedications, and tours of this exciting new hub in the center of our town.

Thanks to the support of our neighbors, local businesses, private foundations, and construction funding from the New York State Library’s Division of Library Development, the capital campaign to create the new library has raised more than $2.5 million, all without assuming debt and with no application of local taxes.

This new library facility assures that the Claverack Free Library will be able to build upon and enhance its longstanding mission to provide services and programming, all without charge for everyone who choose to access them, for generations to come.

Yes, the new library’s opening is now within sight, but we still must raise $123,000 to finish and fully furnish our building.

Will you help?
Each and every gift is deeply appreciated, from custom engraved bricks for $100 to major naming opportunities for landscaping, the children’s room, and the kitchenette. Bricks must be ordered by September 3rd in order to be installed at the new library’s main entrance by opening day.

We also have a wishlist on Amazon for some necessary items. Please visit Amazon Wish List  for the full list.
