Identifying and Managing Invasive Plants

April 13, 2019

Invasive species have become a major environmental problem, as they out-compete and displace native vegetation and damage local habitats by reducing biodiversity. Attendees will learn about the problems caused by invasive plants, as well as which species are invasive and how to identify and manage them in the landscape.  The top local invasive plant species will be covered, as well as where to report invasive species populations, and how to get involved in local volunteer projects.
Instructor Tim Kennelty is a Master Gardener and Master Naturalist through Cornell Cooperative Extension and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Columbia Land Conservancy.
Bring your questions; stay for refreshments.
