This is a free workshop for homeowners to encourage participation in the New York State Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program. The Program provides a free or low cost home energy assessment and report, incentives and low interest loans for properties that are primary or second homes.
Homeowners can improve the energy efficiency of their homes, saving money on utility bills, increasing comfort, and raising property values. Based on income, the home energy assessment is free to 96% of NYS homeowners, with no obligation.These programs have benefits both for homeowners and the community. Energy efficiency and conservation reduce energy consumption and costs, support sustainable community development, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and help create local green jobs
