Irons, the lawyer who represented the Japanese Americans whose internment convictions were overturned in the 1980s for an online discussion of one of the most disturbing events in US history–the internment of American citizens of Japanese descent during World War II. Peter Irons is an American political activist, civil rights attorney, legal scholar, and professor emeritus of political science at University of California, San Diego. He has authored many books on the US Supreme Court and constitutional litigation.
