Flyer promoting 2026 Summer Reading programs at Claverack Library SPECIAL WEEKEND EVENTS: July 11th, 2026  |  12:00 Noon Dig into Soil with Leanna O'Grady Exploring those weird, wild, wiggly things that live in the soil. July 18th  |  12:00 Noon Discovery Museum: Dinosaurs Step back in time to uncover the world of dinosaurs through fossils, hands-on activities and interactive discoveries about life long ago. July 25th  |  12:00 Noon Mohonk Preserve: Hands On Archeology We'll focus on exploring authentic indigenous artifacts found in the Hudson Valley.  August 1st  |  2:00 PM Archeology Artifacts for Middle School through Adult Indigenous artifacts exploration and more!  August 8th  |  12:00 Noon Cooperative Extension Summer Fun  School may be done but there’s always time for science fun! Join a 4-H educator for hands-on science experiments where we’ll mix, measure, observe and explore the world of science. Youth will practice science skills, use scientific tools, and have fun too! August 15th  | 12:00 Noon Cooperative Extension Summer Fun Part 2 We'll pick up where we left off and continue to observe and explore the wonderful world of science.  Weekly Events: TUESDAYS Toddler/Preschool Story Hour 10:00 AM Join us for stories, crafts, music and more! THURSDAYS Baby & Me Story Time 11:00 AM Interactive baby and caregiver story time. Enrichment activities for both baby and their loved ones. FRIDAYS Musical Story Time 11:00 AM Join local musician Abby Lappen for a story hour full of live music, creative storytelling and explorational movements.  Date & Time TBD Battle of the Books Practice Sessions
