Book and Movie Discussion
Sunday, December 20, 2020 | 5:00 pm
Please join us on Sunday, December 20,
at 5:00 pm to discuss the 1958 novella Breakfast at Tiffany’s by Truman Capote. In it, a contemporary writer recalls his early days in New York City, when he makes the acquaintance of his remarkable neighbor, Holly Golightly, who is one of Capote’s best-known characters.
From the comfort of home we will watch the 1961 romantic comedy Breakfast at Tiffany’s directed by Blake Edwards, written by George Axelrod, adapted from Truman Capote’s 1958 novella of the same name and starring Audrey Hepburn. During our meeting we will discuss the differences between the book and the movie.
Both book and movie are available from our system catalog and can be ordered by logging onto the Mid-Hudson Library website.
We will socially distance meet at the library. Please bring a mask. We will offer Zoom for those that cannot attend in person; please let us know in advance at news@claveracklibrary.org.
