Let’s talk about our closest space neighbor, the moon! Participants will learn to visualize how far the moon is from Earth using a simple scale model. Youth will also learn about the phases of the moon and its effects on Earth’s oceans.

What do birds do when it gets cold? Come find out! Learn about winter birding, feeding our feathered friends, and being a community scientist—then make your own bird feeder to take home!

If Earth is our home, and the moon is our closest neighbor, then the Solar System would be the rest of our neighborhood. Youth will learn about the remaining planets that orbit our sun and help create a scale model of the Solar System using string and beads. (NOTE: Planetary size will not be accurate )

Musical Story Time

Join local musician Abby Lappen for a lively story hour filled with music, imaginative storytelling, and interactive movement. Toddlers, children and families of all ages will enjoy this engaging and energetic program as they sing, move, and explore together while building early literacy skills through music and play. Sponsored by The Children's Foundation.
