This free workshop by Kathleen Langton of AHP Homeownership Center in Albany explains the NYSERDA Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program, which provides a free or reduced cost home energy assessment and report, incentives and low interest rate financing for owners of 1 to 4 family homes. Homeowners can improve the energy efficiency of their homes, saving money on utility bills, increasing comfort, and raising property values.
Attendees will be able to sign up for a home energy assessment after the presentation, with no obligation to install the recommended energy improvements. These programs benefit both homeowners and the community. Energy efficiency and conservation reduce energy consumption and costs, support sustainable community development, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and help create local green jobs.
