Flyer promoting Local Author Talk Maryann Proper Saturday, May 2nd | 2:00 PM For more info: 518-851-7120 or email: info@claveracklibrary.org Join us as local author Maryann Proper reads from and discusses her books The Hill: A Story from a Basket Maker’s Daughter and The Hill: Trying Times, and presents the first book in her new and exciting series, Izzy Becker & the Vaudevillians in Disguise. Books will also be available for purchase.  Maryann grew up in West Taghkanic with her basket-making mother, an experience that inspired her to write stories rooted in living history. She graduated from Columbia-Greene Community College and went on to earn her B.A. in Community and Human Services from Empire State College. She now resides in the Adirondack region with her husband and pets.
