K.I.S.S. Shredding Program

K.I.S.S. Program Shredding Bins Sept. 14th - Sept. 26th, 2026 The K.I.S.S program stands for Keeping Identities of Seniors Safe and was designed to protect the identities of older adults while providing an opportunity for them to have a place to drop off and shred sensitive materials. A good rule of thumb to use when it comes to shredding an item(s) is that ‘if it has your name, address, or account number on it and you don’t need it anymore you will want to go ahead and shred it." Please use the bins for documents that have sensitive information ONLY, items that don't have personal information can be recycled with the regular recycling. For example, items like magazines only need the address page torn off, the rest of the magazine can be put out with the regular recycling. Bins will be located by the elevator on the ground floor during library hours.
